The heart of the house
The day begins here with breakfast and ends here with supper. In between it is simply an open room to arrive in, sit down and talk.
Coffee, tea and water are available around the clock. At the self-service bar you help yourself and note down what you took. It is settled when you leave.

Breakfast at Petuh
The smell of warm croissants
A good day starts with a proper breakfast. We welcome you with a homemade ginger shot and the smell of croissants coming out of the oven.
At Petuh, everything is homemade: sweet and savory spreads, crunchy granola, fruit compote, and much more. The ingredients come from local suppliers. We also offer specialty teas and coffees, as well as fresh egg dishes prepared à la minute, just the way you like them.
Because the house is so small, you can enjoy breakfast in peace and quiet, without any rush. No crowds at the buffet. And afterward, your stroll through town begins right outside the door.
We welcome breakfast guests who are not staying overnight every day at the Klönschnackstube for €22.90 per person. To ensure we can save a seat for you, please make a quick table reservation.
Breakfast makes a good present too. Vouchers are available at reception.

Supper (starting in October 2026)
Typical Northern German
The Petuh evening meal consists of crispy sourdough bread, fresh cold cuts, cheese, and some raw vegetables. The tradition of this evening meal dates back to the 1920s, when factory workers already ate a hot lunch in the cafeterias and only needed a light meal in the evening. At Petuh, we continue this tradition.

Our own recommendations
We don't have a restaurant, but we do have the best recommendations in town. Flensburg has plenty of excellent restaurants, and the best ones are within walking distance of the Petuh. Here are four that we highly recommend. If you'd like a table, we'd be happy to make a reservation for you.
Willy
A bistro on the harbour named after an old sailor. Fish rolls, fish and chips, and thoroughly worked-out vegan versions of the same. Also to go, for a spot by the water.

Piet im Fischmarkt
Over a hundred years of Flensburg restaurant history, at Ballastkai since 2025. A large room with panorama windows and a small nostalgic parlour next door. For plaice, smoked eel and the view across the water.

An old brick warehouse with modern lighting. Alsatian tarte flambée and German wines. The easy evening, for when it should not be fish again.
